    a Disclaimer IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please note that the above data were collected from several sources and, therefore, there is a margin of error. This include possible duplication of names resulting from different translations and spellings, errors in the specialties of some specialists, and other inaccuracies. A medical official from the Iraqi Government in Baghdad has highlighted this to me at the conference on higher education in Iraq, December 2007 and for the sake of truth I am adding this note. I have requested the official (I haven't sought his permission to publish his name) to send me an officially approved list of academics and medical practitioners who have been the victims of targeted violence and this will be published on this web as soon as it arrives. 29 January 2008.
   
b Some media has wrongly interpreted my conclusion and used the neutral data in order to vindicate other national and international bodies/organization. The study simply cited figure and statistics.
c Above data nad analysis has been cited in certain books givinf the impression that I was the contributor to these books. This is not the case as I have not poublished these data in any book edited by other auhors.
